A Shenzhen Battery Factory, Factory-Direct Since 2012
EMS-ESS began as a five-bench pack workshop in Longgang. Today it runs 12,000 m² across Shenzhen and Dongguan, 8 pack lines and 1.2 GWh of annual capacity — building home storage, rack, e-mobility and deep-cycle packs for 1,500+ B2B buyers in 45+ countries. No trading desk between you and the line.
About EMS-ESS
Factory-Direct Since 2012
From a five-bench workshop in Longgang to 12,000 m² across two sites, eight pack lines and 1.2 GWh a year.
Team & R&D
280+ Engineers and an In-House Test Lab
The engineering group spans BMS firmware, pack structure, electrochemistry and compliance — the same team that quotes your program runs it.
- BMS firmware team — communication profiles maintained for Deye, Victron, Growatt, Sol-Ark and SMA inverters, with OTA update paths.
- Electrochemistry lab — eight abuse and environment test categories before any design ships: overcharge, external short, drop, crush, vibration, thermal and humidity exposure.
- Cell engineering — A-grade EVE LF280K 280Ah cells at ≤0.25 mΩ internal resistance and CATL 314Ah cells at ~180 Wh/kg anchor the ESS platforms.
- Compliance desk — EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542, CE, IEC 62133-2 and UN38.3 documentation kept current for the markets you sell into.
Milestones
From Five Benches to 1.2 GWh
Founded in Longgang, Shenzhen
Pack assembly for domestic e-bike brands — 36V and 48V packs built by hand, cells matched on a bench multimeter. The lesson that still drives the factory: cell grading decides everything downstream.
First In-House Smart BMS
A dedicated BMS hardware and firmware team replaces third-party boards — CAN bus, custom protection thresholds, and the start of the inverter-protocol library that now covers Deye, Victron, Growatt, Sol-Ark, SMA and Luxpower.
First EU Container
CE and UN38.3 documentation completed for a German home-storage distributor — the 8-test UN38.3 transport file and 16-section MSDS became the standard export pack. Europe now takes 55% of shipments.
Rack Line and the UL 1973 Program
The 19-inch 51.2V 100Ah 4U module line opens for US integrators — 16 modules parallel to 81.92 kWh per cabinet, engineered toward UL 1973 as the entry ticket for stationary storage in North America.
Dual-Site, 1.2 GWh
Eight pack lines across the Shenzhen HQ and the Dongguan plant, 1,500+ B2B clients in 45+ countries. Top brand factories run 6 GWh a year; we deliberately hold OEM scale so custom programs keep engineering attention.
Our Position
Factory-Direct Terms, No Channel Conflict
Brand-name battery houses do not take custom orders, and trading companies cannot answer engineering questions. EMS-ESS sits in between: a factory that publishes its terms and never competes with your brand.
- Published OEM terms — standard lines from 10 units for pilots, custom builds from 200–500 pcs, sample fees credited against the first order.
- Known timelines — samples 15–20 working days after spec sign-off; 100–500 units in ~15 working days; containers in 25–30.
- Standard payment — 30% deposit, 70% against the bill-of-lading copy, FOB Shenzhen.
- No retail channel — we manufacture under your label; there is no EMS-ESS consumer brand to collide with.
- Export pack included — UN38.3 test summary, 16-section MSDS and dangerous-goods declaration with every shipment.
