Ask for the scans: UN38.3 test summaries per battery model, IEC 62133-2 CB reports, CE declarations and the ISO 9001 certificate with scope and expiry. Every document names the exact model it covers — a certificate that does not match the shipped model is not coverage.

IQC, IPQC, OQC — Who Checks What, and When

  • IQC — 100% incoming re-test — capacity and internal resistance verified per cell lot against the supplier grading report; A-grade EVE LF280K lots must measure ≤0.25 mΩ before release to the line.
  • IPQC — in-process control — first-article approval, patrol checks each shift, weld pull-tests and voltage-balance sampling at AQL 0.65.
  • Aging gate — 7-day full-charge hold with self-discharge curves screened against design-of-experiment limits; early-life failures never reach OQC.
  • OQC — 100% final test — open-circuit voltage, internal resistance and insulation withstand on every unit, capacity per lot, then SoC calibrated to 30% for air-freight compliance.

Buyer Questions

Four Questions Compliance Teams Ask

Can we ship under your UN38.3 certificate?
UN38.3 test summaries are issued per battery model, not per buyer. Each shipment carries the summary matching the exact model on the packing list, plus the 16-section MSDS and dangerous-goods declaration — the three documents carriers actually check.
Is your testing 100% or sampled?
End-of-line testing is 100% — open-circuit voltage, internal resistance and insulation withstand on every unit, with capacity verified per lot. Sampling (AQL 0.65) applies only to in-process checks such as weld pull-tests. Every pack also completes a 7-day full-charge aging hold before final test.
What voids the 10-year home ESS warranty?
Operating outside the specified voltage window (41–58.4V for 51.2V systems), depth of discharge beyond spec, unauthorized BMS firmware, or physical damage. Bluetooth and CAN logs provide the SOH evidence for claims — no teardown dispute needed in most cases.
Can our QC team or a third party inspect before shipment?
Yes. Book SGS, ITS or TÜV directly onto the line, or send your own team to either plant. Pre-shipment inspection includes line records, aging curves and per-module traceability barcodes — everything we check ourselves is open to re-check.
