Privacy Policy

This website exists for one purpose: letting battery buyers request quotations and engineering information. That shapes what we collect — the minimum needed to answer an inquiry — and what we never do: sell, rent or profile. Effective 15 August 2026.

Section 1

Data We Collect

When you submit an inquiry form on this site, you send us: your name, business email address, company name, country or target market, the product line you selected, and the free-text spec and quantity description you typed. If you email or call us instead, we keep the correspondence itself — your message, our engineering replies, and any specification files you attach.

For sample and production orders we additionally receive delivery details: consignee name, shipping address, forwarder contact and the bank reference for payment matching. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention, rotated out after 90 days.

We do not collect payment card numbers (settlement runs by bank transfer), we do not collect special categories of personal data, and we do not run any hidden form fields or session recording.

Section 2

How We Use Your Data

Your inquiry data is processed to prepare quotations and engineering proposals — the pre-contractual steps of a potential battery supply agreement, on the basis of your request and our legitimate interest in answering it. Concretely, that means: routing your spec to the engineer who owns the relevant product line, costing the build, checking cell availability and certification scope, and writing back with a proposal.

If an order follows, the same records are used to fulfil it: production scheduling, dangerous-goods documentation (UN38.3 test summaries, MSDS, dangerous-goods declarations all carry your company name as consignee), shipping coordination and warranty registration against BMS serial numbers.

We do not use inquiry data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send newsletters or marketing mail unless you explicitly opt in from a separate subscription control. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by replying to any message.

Section 3

Sharing, Transfers and Retention

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Your details are shared with third parties only when an order requires it: freight forwarders and customs brokers (shipping documents), test laboratories and certification bodies (when you request test reports or market-entry files), and the email and CRM providers that host our correspondence, each bound by a data processing agreement. Where data crosses borders outside the EEA, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses together with the technical safeguards of those providers.

When a retention period ends, records are deleted or anonymised so no individual buyer remains identifiable, unless local tax or accounting law requires longer storage of commercial documents.

Section 4

Cookies and Tracking

This is a static website. It sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics, embeds no social media pixels and performs no session recording. The inquiry form on the contact page gives its confirmation locally in your browser and sends nothing to any server until you choose to email us.

Two honest disclosures: web typefaces are served from Google's font CDN, which transmits your IP address to Google when pages load; and if you click any mailto or tel link, your own mail client or phone app — not our site — handles what happens next. Server logging is limited to the 90-day security rotation described above.

Section 5

Your Rights and How to Reach Us

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and comparable laws, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you (Article 15), rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), portability in a machine-readable format (Article 20) and object to processing grounded in legitimate interest (Article 21). You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email sales@ems-ess.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or write to EMS-ESS, Building A, Mingjunda Industrial Park, Longgang District, Shenzhen 518100, China. We answer verified requests within 30 days and never charge for the first copy of your data.

If we change this policy, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date; material changes affecting existing inquiry records will additionally be announced by email to active contacts. Continued use of the inquiry forms after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
